Traversity Staffing is a limited liability company formed July, 2020 and lifted off doing business in 2021. We are a locally based Alaska travel nurse agency that identifies and fills vacant nursing positions. We provide staffing solutions on a temporary contract basis to meet healthcare needs at client health facilities servicing rural Alaskan communities.

William “Seth” Winn, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Founder & Owner of Traversity Staffing LLC

Out of the Louisiana frying pan and into the Alaskan freezer, Seth has been a registered nurse for 11 years. He has 9 years of nursing experience providing compassionate and personable care in rural Alaska. His work background is in nursing leadership & management, emergency nursing, & med-surg. He obtained his undergraduate Bachelor’s in nursing from Northwestern State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is also a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with advanced practice study as a board certified family nurse practitioner. During the course of his study, he discovered his passion for nurse entrepreneurship. He’s used his clinical experience to help Alaskan healthcare communities meet their healthcare needs and share with nurses the joys and adventures of working as a nurse in his favorite state, Alaska!

Victoria “Vicki” L. Bowyer, BSN, RN

Vicki is a longtime friend of Alaska, humanitarian, and an altruist with a real sense of adventure. She has 10 years of nursing experience from all over the world. She’s met needs in several rural Alaskan communities in the Bethel, Nome, Bristol Bay area, and several others during her time as a flight nurse with Medevac Alaska. Vicki has also sought ways to bring her talents to fulfill her greater purpose while working in areas of the world including Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan, and Antarctica! Vicki’s list of societal contributions to the health and wellbeing of others keeps expanding. She says, “My personal and career objective is to stay uncomfortable as much as possible in order to be challenged to learn and grow as a nurse, humanitarian aid worker, and human being. I desire to try new roles and gain different perspectives.”

Michael L. Kukulka, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CEN

Michael is a phenomenal nurse of 9 years with expertise in emergency and acute care. With Indiana origins, he obtained his advanced nursing education from the University of Southern Indiana. He also has 3 years experience in direct patient care working in the emergency department as a nurse practitioner. Additionally, he loves helping develop newly and seasoned nurse’s clinical skills as a clinical instructor & mentor. After exploring Alaska for the first time in 2015, he knew he would be back for more adventure, rich culture, natural beauty, and fish! Returning to Alaska, like a cast from a good rod & reel, Michael joined Traversity’s team in early 2022 amidst COVID to put his clinical skills to work in the service of others.

Loni Buness, BSN, RN, CCRN, TCRN

Traversity Acute Care RN

Loni was born and raised in Wrangell, Alaska. She has been a registered nurse since 2018. She started her career in the acute care float pool and moved to a surgical/trauma intensive care unit in 2020. She particularly enjoys seeing education opportunities and precepting new graduate nurses in the intensive care unit. Loni obtained her BA in public health from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and her BSN from University of New England. Loi has maintained her State of Alaska EMT license since 2012 and volunteers with the local fire department when she is home in Wrangell.

Vera L. Marvin, ADN, RN

Traversity Emergency RN

Vera is Traversity’s maiden voyage travel nurse! She was our first team member to embark and test waters after signing up to help in the Bristol Bay Area of Alaska. Prior to working with Traversity, Vera contributed to the healthcare of Alaska in Bethel and Nome on several occasions and for many years. She graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing from Lansing Community College of Michigan in 1988. With over 35+ years of combined nursing and healthcare experience and achievements that include RN, LPN, CNA, and EMT, Vera has left her mark and made a difference in several patient’s, family’s, and teammate’s lives.

Julie Noonan BSN, RN

Traversity Acute Care RN

Julie has explored many professional career paths that include teaching mathematics, United States Airforce military service, and financial accounting. She later found and smoothly nestled into her nursing career. Julie first arrived to Nome, Alaska to provide quality nursing care. She became a part of the Alaskan community and a nurse at a critical access Alaska Native Tribal Health Organization in 2018. During her time there, she cared for hundreds of patients and families, primarily from rural Alaska Native villages of the Bering region. Julie shined as a leader when COVID made its way to the region by contributing her talents in COVID operations in the rural villages. Julie later joined Traversity’s team in early 2022, returning to meet a nursing need in Dillingham, Alaska shortly after helping overseas in Guam. Her versatile professional background, compassionate nature, and outstanding teamwork skills have made Julie a valued member of our team!
